On June 14, 2021, PHILIPS RESPIRONICS announced a voluntary recall of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), BiLevel Positive Airway Pressure (BiLevel PAP) devices, and Mechanical Ventilators due to two issues related to the polyester-based polyurethane (PE_PUR) sound abatement foam used in these devices. On August 17, 2021, Philips Respironics began to mail letters to impacted patients. The letter indicates you will need to REGISTER your device with Philips Respironics to be eligible for a repair/replacement of your affected device. Philips expects this process to take approximately 12 months to complete the recall worldwide.
